- The 10th Step:
This thought brings us to Step Ten, which suggests we continue to take personal inventory and continue to set right any new mistakes as we go along. We vigorously commenced this way of living as we cleaned up the past. We have entered the world of the Spirit. Our next function is to grow in understanding and effectiveness. This is not an overnight matter. It should continue for our lifetime. Continue to watch for selfishness, dishonesty, resentment, and fear. When these crop up, we ask God at once to remove them. We discuss them with someone immediately and make amends quickly if we have harmed anyone. Then we resolutely turn our thoughts to someone we can help. Love and tolerance of others is our code.
AND IT'S PROMISES:
And we have ceased fighting anything or anyone - even alcohol. For by this time sanity will have returned. We will seldom be interested in liquor. If tempted, we recoil from it as from a hot flame. We react sanely and normally, and we will find that this has happened automatically. We will see that our new attitude toward liquor has been given us without any thought or effort on our part. It just comes! That is the miracle of it. We are not fighting it, neither are we avoiding temptation. We feel as though we had been placed in a position of neutrality - safe and protected. We have not even sworn off. Instead, the problem has been removed. It does not exist for us. We are neither cocky nor are we afraid. That is our experience. That is how we react so long as we keep in fit spiritual condition.

Up early... hope the clocks are all right? :-D
It looks like my "writer's block" may be passing. Now if I can get my typo-nese under control, life will be wonderful, lol!
Today is the first day in a month that I have gotten up early. To write. Very important, eh? I only have my shower/bath stuff to pack up and clothing and personal stuff to get moved. A new day, a new life...
School keeps me so busy and so does life, in general. It's good to have a life, ya know? I feel like I really have been "reborn". I like it, too. Time is relative...
Morning all!
What a fast couple of weeks it has been - hard to believe that it's the 10th of February already. It seems like the older I get the faster time flies by...
Here's something odd- I tell people how old I am, and they kind of freak out. I get told I don't look 46 -more like my early 30s. After my life, that surprises me. I FEEL older than dirt, lololol.

OMG, has life gotten BUSY or what?!? School, work, home, family, AA, busy, busy, busy...and it's hard for this old gurl to keep up on some of these busy days!

I have done some bragging about how excited this back to basics study is to me and how much fun we are going to have. I love being sober not somber (noy that I always am..lol) It's crazy how many people have no idea what it is..some people have commented that they wish they had a back to basics study in their town lol!
