i need to know if its okay for me to have a female sponsor i mean like what are the rules on this. is it against the rules or just frowned upon. my first sponsor was totally against it but i've heard many people say that they have had sponsors of the opposite gender.

sobriety has really had a big impact on my life, i am grateful for the open arms of A.A. and my fellow alcoholic and addicts who understand me, and are there for me whenever i need some one to lean on. thank you for the gift of sobriety that you have given me. because of you and the program i am able to live my life today one day at a time.

well I am one of those people like to add to much to there plate on a daily basis I am really working at this in fact in planning and hosting our daughters wedding I wanted to really make sure that I worked the principles of AA, so I planned and asked for help made lists delegated. I just joined FOB and, while I have been to meetings in the recent past, I've yet to commit myself fully to sobriety. I need to do that now. I understand this. I guess I can't do this on my own. My worst day sober is better than my last day drunk!

I finally sent in the paperwork to become a legal driver. I could have had my license 11 years ago just plain stupidity on my part never got the ball rolling. Made a few starts in the last 2 years but never followed through. This time I plan on going all the way and no more driving until I am legal.

sure is wierd that a big city like Durham dosent want to give general info on the where abouts of meetings. could only get the addressand times of 4 .hummmmmm guess they really are keeping it a secret.

Right now I feel good. Rested, productive and sober. If I could feel like this all the time I would never have a need or want to pick up again. I am enjoying while it lasts. I went to 3 meetings today and saw my family and stayed out of my own head. I got my new and hopefully last 24 hour chip tonight at my home group. The A.A.s that talk to me all all great people.
